A 40-year-old Slatington man is charged with trying to pay a woman to have sex with her 11-year-old daughter in Monroe County, according to the Monroe County district attorney’s office.Only there was no girl and the “mother” turned out to be an undercover detective when he arrived at a prearranged location to pay for the sex, according to the district attorney’s office.Phillip Londono, 40, was charged Friday with attempted rape of a child, attempted trafficking of a minor and 11 other felonies. Londono is awaiting a district court hearing.Monroe County authorities state the following:Earlier in May, detectives arrested a prostitute at a Smithfield Township hotel. The prostitute said an unknown man had offered to pay her to find him a girl, preferably around age 10, to have sex with.Detectives identified the man as Londono from a conversation on the prostitute’s phone, according to court records.Using her phone and posing as a woman with an 11-year-old daughter, detectives contacted Londono. Unaware he was talking to undercover detectives, Londono arranged to pay the mother $100 a week to have the daughter perform a sexual act on him.To ensure the mother was not a police officer, Londono arranged to meet her in Stroudsburg and pay her $100 to perform a sexual act on him.
