On Monday the FDA authorized the use of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on children 12 to 15 years old based on results from clinical trials that show the vaccine is safe and highly effective at preventing COVID-19 for adolescents. For some parents and children in the Lehigh Valley, the authorization of the vaccination for tweens and teens has been a long time coming.
