A 15-year-old student who identifies as nonbinary and their mother have filed a federal lawsuit against the Bethlehem Area School District and the Colonial Intermediate Unit 20, alleging that the student was “repeatedly tormented and abused” by being referred to with the wrong pronouns and name.
