With dozens of supporters and a handful of opponents present, City Council on Wednesday voted unanimously to petition the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to exempt the Maingate Night Club and other liquor licensees in the West End Theater District from regulations regarding amplified music heard from beyond premises boundaries. Instead, the establishments would fall under the jurisdiction of the city noise ordinance.
