Man pays woman for sex at Upper Saucon motel, then winds up beaten and robbed, police say

A man met a woman at an Upper Saucon Township motel Thursday to pay her for sex, only to end up beaten and robbed of his car and belongings by her and a male accomplice, police said.The woman, Janqunela Allen, 34, and the accused male accomplice, Ashley Etienne, 28, both of Allentown, are charged with robbery and other offenses. Allen and Etienne were arraigned on the charges and placed in Northampton County Prison with bail set at $75,000 for each.The accuser was taken by ambulance from the motel to St. Luke’s Hospital ― Fountain Hill.According to police:During Wednesday night into Thursday morning, he arranged to meet a woman later identified as Allen in his motel room, where they had sex.Allen then accompanied him as he went to the motel lobby, looking for an ATM, but the motel has none. He and Allen then returned to the room.Shortly afterward, a man later identified as Etienne came to the room. Etienne and Allen then began assaulting him.They then took the keys to his 2014 Toyota Corolla. They also took his wallet and Apple iPhone XS and drove away in his car, which police later found in Allentown.Police later located and questioned Allen, who corroborated the accuser’s story and was then arrested.When police located and questioned Etienne afterward, he claimed he fought the accuser in self-defense.
