A man was charged with illegally possessing a gun and lying to police about his identity after reportedly being found with another man’s wife Thursday in Allentown.Johnathon Rutman, 25, of Lehighton, is charged with prohibited possession of a gun, giving false identification to law enforcement and disorderly conduct. Rutman was placed in county jail, with bail set at $10,000, and is awaiting a district court hearing.An affidavit states:Police were called at 8:11 p.m. to a residence in the 500 block of Sixth Street, Allentown, and spoke to the caller, who said he had walked in on his wife “having relations with” a man later identified as Rutman. The caller said Rutman was wanted on a warrant and that there was an unsecured handgun in the residence.Police detained Rutman, in whose pocket was the gun’s magazine containing a live cartridge. Police recovered the rest of the gun, a Kahr Arms 9 mm, from the basement after being directed there by Rutman.Rutman gave police two false names and dates of birth before his true identity was learned.
