Allentown Republican mayoral nominee Tim Ramos was hoping to turn out non-conformist and minority voters who would ignore the straight party ticket option and choose to oust longtime city public servant Ray O’Connell. An analysis of the election results shows O’Connell actually outperformed the Democratic Party’s massive electoral advantage on his way to earning twice as many votes as Ramos.
