A tree fell across the 4400 block of Chestnut Street in Upper Milford Sunday night around 11:40 p.m., blocking the road and taking down power lines.Homes in the area remain without power this morning.Around 6 a.m. this morning, a car drove into the tree that was blocking the road. Two people were inside the car and were not injured. A tree also hit one home, causing damage to the roof and ceiling, the homeowner said. At least one person was inside, but they were not injured.The tree across the roadway fell in almost the same place where a tree fell three weeks ago. That tree also knocked out power and hours later a car drove into it.Chestnut Street remains closed between Route 100 and Buckeye Road.Tow truck has arrived to remove the car.
