Because of the coronavirus, Heritage Day, the annual downtown event that draws thousands for a day of historic reenactments capped off by a night of fireworks, has been canceled, city officials announced Monday. Online offerings like a reading of the Declaration of Independence, music videos and demonstrations of skills like glass blowing will be offered instead.
