Allentown City Council was surprised to learn last fall that the city owns the Hamilton Street dam on the Lehigh River, and was supposed to have been earmarking maintenance funds for the past 35 years. It plans to pay for a structural assessment of the dam in 2020, and hopes time has been kind to it.
