As department stores close, how is Boscov’s bucking the trend?

The Bon-Ton is gone. Sears is hanging on by a thread. And Macy’s is shutting stores and cutting thousands of jobs. Then, there’s Boscov’s, which is opening one store a year. What makes this “little nobody” of department store chains so different?
