The Allentown Philatelic Society, also known as the Allentown Stamp Club, held an auction that included the world’s first stamp, the “Great Britain one penny black,” along with two covers each containing the United State’s first stamp, the 5 cent Benjamin Franklin. In addition, a mint set of the famous U.S. Graf Zepplin stamps was also up for sale.
