The Allentown Police Department is updating its list of past actions and behavior that automatically disqualify would-be officers. Among other changes, the department is easing its prohibition on recent use of marijuana, and is spelling out its rejection of recruits who demonstrate “anti-government, racist or hate related ideologies,” or are members of groups championing those ideologies.
