The developer of a 13.5-acre lot at the base of South Mountain must conduct an analysis of how severely 43 additional homes will worsen traffic flow in the adjacent South Allentown neighborhood before city planners will grant approval. But the chairman of the Allentown Planning Commission also warned more than two dozen residents in attendance that, despite their concerns, the latest Barnes Lane development plan will almost certainly get the go-ahead later this year.
