After hourlong squabble, Allentown City Council creates youth advisory body

After an hour of bickering and finger-pointing Tuesday night that warranted a trip to the principal’s office, Allentown’s elected leaders established the framework for a youth council.Born out of this summer’s spate of gun violence, the “Council of Youth” will advise city officials on the most pressing issues concerning young people, and recommend policy solutions to those issues.
