A hard morning commute: Cement truck overturns on MacArthur Road in Whitehall

A cement truck overturned Monday in the southbound lanes of MacArthur Road in Whitehall Township, snarling traffic at a major thoroughfare in the area.The accident occurred just after 5:30 a.m., initial scanner reports indicate. County dispatch said at least one lane southbound in the area is impacted, but a Whitehall police officer on scene said both southbound lanes could be closed for a couple of hours once the wrecker arrives.First responders radioed the driver was out of the truck and walking around, but said the entire unit was on its passenger side on the side of the road and was fully loaded with cement. None of the cement spilled out of the truck.Here’s that overturned cement truck on Routes 145 and 329 in Whitehall.
