Sen. Pat Toomey estimates that a proposed federal tax credit for contributions to private school scholarship programs could create more than $150 million in additional funds for “tens of thousands” of Pennsylvania families. The federal Educational Freedom Scholarships and Opportunity Act that would establish a $5 billion federal tax credit for businesses and individuals that contribute to school choice scholarship programs.
