In the June 4 edition of The Morning Call, a story mentions that state Sen. Pat Browne has introduced legislation to raze the properties of Allentown State Hospital. Does this include any building currently being rented? The bill also contains a provision to establish a competitive solicitation committee to review the proposed bids, and one member should be recommended by Allentown. I ask whoever makes the recommendation to recommend Nat Hyman, who saved city of Allentown almost $1 million on a city demolition. This committee, once chosen, then can appoint a fifth member, which should be businessman Don Ringer, who has always had interest as to the proposals being offered as to the state hospital site. But I hope that Sen. Browne pulls his bill and agrees to do what those that signed petitions suggested — not to demolish.Louis J.
