Pennsylvania passed another pandemic milestone Thursday, counting more than 40,000 COVID-related deaths. The addition of 325 death report brings the statewide total to 40,257 since the state’s first death was reported in Northampton County in March 2020. In the past week case rates have declined 34% but deaths have risen 39%.
