Living historians from the 6th Pennsylvania Regiment wearing authentic garb from the Colonial period tell the story of that era and also guests from the Valley Forge Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Following the service the regiment will load and fire their muskets to salute the patriots being remembered Memorial Day weekend. The parade will continue to the River Bridge for music, prayer of commemoration and launching of a memorial wreath and then moves on to the World War I Monument for placing of the memorial wreath. Program at the cemetery includes music, greetings by Mayor Gregory Stokes, Lincoln’s “Gettysburg Address,” Memorial Day address by Marc G. Willard, past district commander. Rain location: 1 p.m. Riegelsville Fire House, 333 Delaware Road.Emmaus Commemorative Gardens Foundation and the Emmaus Veterans Committee will hold a ceremony to install 16 bricks to the Veteran’s Walk at 1 p.m. at the Remembrance garden at the Knauss Homestead, 164 E. Main St., Emmaus. The keynote speaker is retired Master Sgt. Chris Anthony. The program includes a rifle salute and taps by the Emmaus Veterans Color Guard of the Emmaus Veterans Committee.Edward H. Daniel Zimpfer will lay a memorial wreath and reading of the township’s fallen heroes by members of the Lavoi family. Parade begins at 10 a.m. at Shoemaker Elementary School and marches along Main Street from Fairview Street to the Macungie Memorial Park band shell at 10:45 a.m. for the 71st annual Macungie Memorial Day Program. Service follows at noon at the Lehigh-Northampton Vietnam Veterans Memorial, 287 Lehigh St., Macungie. In the event of rain, the parade will be canceled and services will be held at 10:45 a.m. in Macungie Memorial Park auditorium, 50 N. Wreaths will be placed on the War Monuments by the post. Rain location, Emmaus High School auditorium, 10 a.m.Phillipsburg Memorial Day Parade, 9 a.m. Parade route is South Main Street from Abbot Street to Union Square, stopping at Shappell Park for a remembrance ceremony.Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293 will hold services at 9 a.m. at the Cementon Memorial; 9:30 a.m. at Egypt Memorial Park; 10:30 a.m. at Whitehall Veterans Memorial; and 11:30 a.m. at the Post Home, 5209 Springmill Road, Whitehall.Easton Memorial Day Parade, 10:30 a.m. Parade steps off from Sixth and Walnut streets, down Northampton Street and proceeds to Scott Park. The principal speaker will be USMC Maj. Jenna E. Reed, a former resident of Bangor. She joined the Marine Corps in 2010 after graduating from Villanova University Law School. Rain location: St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church Social Hall, Verona Avenue, West Bangor.East Bangor will hold services at 1 p.m. at the East Bangor Cemetery, Park Road. Speaker will be Scott Saltern, a Navy veteran. There will be a roll call of those veterans who have died in the past year and are now buried in the East Bangor Cemetery. Music by Ellis Williams & Co. A gun salute will be fired by the Martocci-Capobianco Post 750 American Legion, Roseto. Taps will be played by Aryana Smith. Rain location, East Bangor United Methodist Community Church, 136 W.
