Have you seen this foster dad and four kittens? Peaceable Kingdom needs your help locating them

Peaceable Kingdom is trying to locate an Allentown man it says has four foster kittens that were not surrendered upon request. On May 23, Nelson Torres Jr. of Allentown entered into a contract with Peaceable Kingdom to foster the kittens, according to Peaceable Kingdom coordinator Kandice Reinert.Torres was supposed to bring the kittens in for routine veterinary procedures , but hasn’t done so, Reinert said. The animal shelter had trouble reaching him, she said. When the shelter finally was able to connect with him, Torres scheduled a June 10 veterinary appointment. “We told him to bring all the supplies he has for the kittens and to leave those supplies with us when dropping off the kittens,” Reinert said. “Because he’d been unresponsive, we told him not to return for the kittens after dropping them off because they would be transferred to another foster parent’s care.”Torres never showed up with the kittens on June 10. Reinert said phone calls, emails, texts and even visits to two addresses listed for Torres were unsuccessful. Allentown and Whitehall police told Peaceable Kingdom this is a civil, not criminal, matter because the shelter has a signed contract with Torres. Police said Torres’ actions do not constitute theft, according to Reinert. The shelter filed civil paperwork with a district magistrate Wednesday and is awaiting the court’s response.Meanwhile, anyone knowing Torres’ whereabouts is asked to contact Peaceable Kingdom, 610-432-2532 or 610-606-1885 or pkslostblackkittens@yahoo.com.
