A Tuesday bust in Allentown led to a 50-year-old man’s arraignment Wednesday on drug charges.Carlos Castro was placed in county jail under $100,000 bail a day after the state Attorney General’s Office executed a search warrant at his home in the 2400 block of Shaler Street.Seized were 2.5 pounds of marijuana, 54.7 grams of cocaine, a plastic bag containing 10.9 grams of heroin, a plastic bag containing 5.1 grams of ecstasy, .9 grams of heroin, a steel box containing vials of steroids and three digital scales with residue on them, authorities said.Also seized were paraphernalia including packaging baggies, a box of waxine baggies, a plastic bag with rubber bands and a Food Saver vacuum sealer.Castro admitted owning the seized items and is awaiting a district court hearing on the charges.Morning Call reporter Andrew Scott can be reached at 610-820-6508 or ascott@mcall.com.
